Abstract
This paper aims to reflect on the role of Curuzu in affirming the black population in the city of Salvador in the fight against violence and racism and its role of resistance and this new moment in 2019 taking as an example the process of urban requalification by through the reform of its streets and other interventions. The methodology used is based on field work and participant research; encompassing all the activities of social entities ranging from public confrontation and the logistic and financial construction of these interventions, as well as the recognition of them for the process of inclusion, in the present day, of a population marked by the heritage of the historically excluded Official Slavery. Development through practices of prejudice and discrimination.
