NECROPOLITICS AND SOCIO-EDUCATIONAL MEASURES: THE BLACK YOUNG PEOPLE IN QUESTION
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article presents an analysis of the trajectory of two black adolescent/young Brazilians, considering the manifestation of necropolitics in the country and its relationship with the infraction and fulfillment of socio-educational measures. We observed the role of these indicators from theoretical apparatus, Brazilian statistical data, and primarily from the reports of two young black men – poor and marginalized – who were subjected to socio-educational measures in their adolescence. These young people’s discourse about their convictions, experiences, and feelings will be related throughout the article, as expressed in the interviews. The main results of the research indicate that the experiences narrated by these young people express, in many ways, the social reality that many other black Brazilian youth endure.
