Abstract

This article is part of a master's thesis on the study of cooperativism in Guinea-Bissau, having as a collaborating agent Cooperativa Agropecuária de Jovens Quadros (Coajoq). Our objective in this article is to present to the reader as Serbian cooperatives of mechanism and spaces of socioeconomic emancipation of young people. For this, we first made use of a conceptual historical perspective of the concept emancipation in dialogue with document analysis. The question that mobilizes us is this: how do Coajoq's activities influence processes of socioeconomic emancipation in communities? Therefore, it is considered that emancipatory actions besides being different with the Western notion in Africa are loaded with a notion of solidarity - Ubuntu, in which the collective is always at a game of affirmation. Thus, Coajoq's actions assume, in this collective, the role of emancipator, in the generation of new knowledge and experiences that aim to expand the freedom of generation of new aspirations, utopian in the young.
