Abstract
The study sought to know the oppressions, inequalities and resistance, from the intersection of gender, race/ethnicity, class, generation, sexuality and territory. Young men and women from two quilombola communities, located in the rural area of Garanhuns/PE and young people from urban areas on the outskirts of the city participated. In this article we will address some situations in which prejudice and racial discrimination produce effects on the experiences of young people. The research was built in three stages. Initially, we carried out participant observation in the communities and in a school in the outskirts. The second stage involved workshops with young people from both territories. And third, semi-structured interviews. The material was analyzed from the perspective of the intersectionality of social markers. The racial oppressions experienced by young people from both territories are expressed in prejudice and discrimination due to skin color, hair type, and sometimes in a disguised manner.
