Abstract

This article analyzes how racial issues cross the practices of psychologists working in the Social Assistance Reference Centers - CRAS in São João de Meriti. Based on a qualitative methodology, the 4 psychology professionals were interviewed where we sought to verify the implementation of the legal guidelines regulated by the Federal Council of Psychology - CFP to face racism. It was found in the results found that, despite racism being one of the most important debates in the country, where there is a legal mobilization for its confrontation, psychology still lacks a theoretical and practical framework that broadly equips professionals for their work in the protection basics of SUAS.
