Abstract
Esta entrevista com Edna Roland analisa a formação política do movimento de mulheres negras no Brasil pós-redemocratização, destacando o debate sobre a esterilização em massa como fundador de uma agenda autônoma. A ativista articula memória e ação política ao recuperar marcos históricos como a criação do primeiro serviço de aborto legal, em 1989, e o Seminário Nacional Políticas e Direitos Reprodutivos das Mulheres Negras, em 1993. Edna Roland também reflete sobre avanços e riscos de retrocesso nas políticas de saúde, criticando a instrumentalização dos direitos das mulheres no jogo político partidário. A entrevista integra o projeto “Memórias de mulheres negras em movimento pelo direito à saúde: lutas antirracistas em foco” que sistematiza as trajetórias de mulheres negras nas lutas por direitos à saúde no Brasil.
