Abstract
The study analyzes 47 images generated by 10 text- and image-generating artificial intelligence (AIs) systems – ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepAI, Grok, DeepSeek, Copilot, Dreamina, Perplexity, Claude, and Meta AI – based on three prompts requesting representations of whiteness. A text explaining the concept's definition and the racial composition of their teams was also requested. As main results, the AIs described whiteness as related to racial privilege; however, they produced images of young white women, nature, light colors, and white textures, thereby stripping the term of its symbolic and historical weight. Furthermore, two AIs refused to create images representing human races.
