Abstract

This article reflects on the theoretical and practical contributions of the Movimento Negro Educador from the perspective of the African diaspora. Through dialogue, Afro-Colombian researcher Anny Ocoró Loango and Afro-Brazilian researcher Natalino Silva discuss the possibilities, potentialities, and outlooks of incorporating this concept into political, sociocultural, and academic approaches, among others, in transnational Black-African contexts. In this way, the researchers recognize that the theoretical-practical elaboration of the “Movimento Negro Educador,” as proposed by professor and researcher Nilma Lino Gomes, makes significant contributions to their research, as well as to their sociopolitical actions.
