BLACK EXISTENCES AND LIFE IN CRACK USE SCENES
Main Article Content
Abstract
The article is the result of an ethnography of the meetings between a team of "Clinic at the Street" of the city of Rio de Janeiro and who this service seeks to attend: people in street situations and, in particular, in scenes of use of crack. From the statement of one of these people, "... I am already on the street and I am black, I have to be smart," it is intended to make explicit the modes of functioning of racism, and their concrete connections with sexism, when in relation to Phenomenon of crack. We also point out the means by which black life creates and recreates its existence and its territories, denoting its extensive creative power, even in contexts that impose impossibilities.
