POLITICAL CONSERVATISM AND THE ANTIRACIST FIGHT IN EDUCATION: NEW AND OLD SCENARIOS
Main Article Content
Abstract
In these hard times, we intend to reflect on the actions of the School Movement No Party, which has, since 2004, as national coordinator Miguel Nagib. Lawyer and professedly conservative, invests heavily in producing a speech of criminalization of teachers; in control and stigmatization of knowledge to be produced in the processes of learning and teaching; in defense of a moral and a totalitarian ethic that discursively intend to transform the school civic practices in routines of delation and control ideas. What role the school plays in the formation of consciences? Thinking about the issue of race in an anti-racist curriculum would be a vehicle of a "political and ideological indoctrination"? These are some questions that join many others and moving on society projects in dispute.
