Abstract
Em 2009, chegou às livrarias a coleção Sankofa: matrizes africanas da cultura brasileira, publicada em 2008 – treze anos depois de editada pelo curso homônimo do Ipeafro, o Instituto de Pesquisas e Estudos Afro-Brasileiros, fundado por Abdias do Nascimento e Elisa Larkin Nascimento. Com artigos de subsídio à formação docente sobre história e cultura africana e afro-brasileira, antecipou em dez anos a Lei Federal que oficializou sua inclusão no currículo da rede educacional, alterando a Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação (LDB), principal lei educacional brasileira. Agora, sete anos depois da Lei n. 10.639/03, ampliada pela Lei n. 11.645/08 com inclusão de história e cultura indígena, o terceiro volume causa admiração pela fluidez dos artigos sankofados na ancestralidade como berço do devir.
