Abstract
Entendendo que o hip hop é hoje um dos mais importantes movimentos de construção e autoafirmação da identidade do negro na sociedade brasileira rumo à alteridade e ao respeito negados ao longo da maior parte da nossa história, sua atuação no contexto social atual surge como fruto da tomada de consciência das inúmeras faltas cometidas contra os afro-brasileiros em nome da cor da pele, pautando-se pela busca de caminhos que conduzam ao reconhecimento e ao respeito às diferenças da nossa comunidade por meio da arte e da cultura.
