Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper proposes an interpretation of the racist ideology wrapped in speeches by teachers and children about literary works for young people, using the Depth Hermeneutics as methodology. With regard to the formal analysis (2nd phase), field study was conducted in three groups of 4th graders of a municipal school, which witnessed, recorded and transcribed eight reading lessons. In the episodes analyzed in this paper, several strategies were observed in the interpretation of ideological messages of the books, for example, stigmatization, responsible for reinforcing preconceptions and stereotypes about the history and culture African-Brazilian and African people.
