A IDEOLOGIA DO RACISMO: ENTRE O DISCURSO DO COTIDIANO E A MATERIALIZAÇÃO NA MÍDIA BRASILEIRA
Main Article Content
Abstract
The conceptual definitions of ideology are present in various Marxist authors, linguists, psychologists and theorists from various areas of the Humanities. Among these various aspects to explain ideology, a very interesting position on this issue is developed by Mikhail Bakhtin to an Ideology of Everyday Life. From this perspective, this text aims at analyzing racism contained in the speech by Rodrigo Lombardi (an actor from the major TV network in Brazil - Globo) in "Dancing With the Stars" final contest of a Sunday show called Domingão Faustão aired on September 4th, 2011. Based on theory / methodology from Discourse Analysis, we intend to show the manifestation of a racist ideology of everyday life, which builds an ideological infrastructure that functions as a superstructure on which racism is projected. From this discourse analysis, we realize that we are far from being both a Social Candinho and a "Racial Democracy".
