Abstract
This article describes the “Identities, Belonging and the Exact and Technological Sciences”, supported by Fundação Carlos Chagas. By the means of a participatory action research, school trajectories and professional perspectives of UFSCar’s black students (enrolled in Science and Technology careers) were reveled, so as ethnic-racial belonging construction and facilitating elements for their career entry. At the same time, were described challenges faced until the arrival at university (that persist in university day life) and strategies/conditions that can contribute to overcome the racial inequalities that define professional qualification in Brazil.
