Resumo

In this article, we present an interview with Professors Ana Lúcia Silva Souza (Federal University of Bahia), Professor Paulo Melgaço da Silva Júnior (Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro), and Professor María Laura Pardo (CONICET- FFyL-UBA). The interview addresses key themes related to the work of Professor Nilma Lino Gomes on the Movimento Negro Educador (MNE), a concept developed in the Brazilian context that conceptualizes Black movements as educational, political, and epistemic agents, while also naming the research project to which the interviewees are affiliated. Drawing on a critical, intersectional, and decolonial perspective, the discussion explores art as a vehicle for liberation and identity formation, the role of the body and discourse in the construction of subjectivity, shared struggles among socially vulnerable groups, as well as South–South relations.
