THE POLITICAL-TERRITORIAL IMPACT OF AFFIRMATIVE POLICIES: REFLECTIONS ON QUILOMBOLA EDUCATION
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article points out questions about quilombola school education (Resolution 08/2012 - CNE/CEB) and the political-territorial recognition of quilombos in the state of Pará. Analyzing the struggle for the recognition and titration of territories, it is perceived the need to implement quilombola school education, even if the challenges are great, because it aligns the promotion of diversity in Education. It is important not to lose sight of the fact that one lives in a historical moment when quilombola education has been debated since the educational reform begun in the 1990s, such as Law No. 9,394 of December 20, 1996, since the LDB - Law 9394/96, in its art. 26, §4 - establishes that the teaching of the History of Brazil must take into account the contributions of different cultures, peoples and ethnicities in Brazil.
