Educational Experiences at Quilombo da Mocambo: The Writing of Afro-Gauchas Women
Main Article Content
Abstract
Abstract: The objective of this work is to analyze writings by black quilombola women from the city of Porto Alegre, notably from Quilombo da MOCAMBO, a space for preserving memories of the African diaspora in Porto Alegre/RS, as a result of research carried out in the Master's in Education. The outcome of the analysis reveals the quilombo communities as a place of unique educational experiences, expressed in quilombola strategies of elaboration and sharing of linguistic expressions usual to this community, such as “Mocambo” and “surroundings”. The analytical references are in the Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations Project, in the Interculturality and in the contributions of thought-action of black women. The letters written by female leaders from different generations were also used, since they are marked by affection and collectivity.
