Main Article Content
Abstract
This article aimed to assess how Slam Poetry can be utilized by Black women to express their vulnerabilities using poetry as reinforcement, employing a case study method based on semi-structured interviews and utilizing Behavior Analysis theory and Social Psychology as analytical tools. The results were categorized into three categories: the paradox of the Black woman; poetry as a reinforcing instrument; Slam Poetry as a transformative environment. Through this work, it was possible to observe the strength of such groups, as they are places full of reinforcing stimuli. However, greater visibility and a more scientific approach to these spaces are necessary to explore more deeply the importance of such groups not only for minorities but also for society.
