Abstract
This text discusses the role of Black women in the construction of epistemologies produced from social and historical margins. Grounded in Black feminist thought and decolonial perspectives, it analyzes how the coloniality of power, knowledge, and being has structured inequalities of race, gender, and class. It also addresses the coloniality of gender and intersectionality as analytical tools for understanding the multiple forms of oppression that shape the experiences of Black women. Furthermore, the text highlights the critique of hegemonic feminism and emphasizes the contributions of Brazilian Black intellectuals to the production of knowledge and practices of resistance. It concludes that Black feminism constitutes a political and epistemological project committed to social transformation and to the recognition and valorization of knowledge produced by Black women.
