Abstract

This paper aims at presenting educational experiences amongst Brazilian professors from the Federal Technology University of Paraná, Pato Branco Campus, linked to the Post-graduation Program in Regional Development (PGPRD) and African students, from Mozambique, Cape Verde and Angola, participants in the Undergraduate Research Program – Incentive Program for Scientific Formation of Students from Mozambique, Angola and Cape Verde (FPMCA/PROFOR), from 2010 to 2012. The developed studies have approached the Pedagogy of Alternation as the pedagogical method used in the Family Farm and Family Sea Houses (CFRs and CFMs), in the southern region of Brazil. The field research held by these Family Farm Houses’ and Family Sea Houses’ students, involving professors, monitors, and students’ parents, has contributed to the academic development of youngsters, as well as to the betterment of families’ life conditions in the rural properties, and fishing activities.
