FILOSOFIAS AFRICANAS NA FORMAÇÃO DOCENTE
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article addresses the contributions of African philosophies in a teacher training course on education for ethnic-racial relations in the city of Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais. The objective is to highlight possibilities of approach through examples of formative pedagogical practices based on Afrocentricity, ubuntu and philosophy of sagacity. By discussing the challenges and viability of this approach, we seek to reconnect with ancestral ways of learning and teaching. We hope that our strengths can provide subsidies for further research and methodologies that explore the role of African philosophies in teacher education.
