QUILOMBOLA SCHOOL EDUCATION IN SERGIPE INTERTWAINING DIALOGUES WITH COMMUNITIES AND DATA FROM THE SCHOOL CENSUS
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper reflects on the reality of Quilombola School Education in Sergipe based on data from the School Census in dialogue with quilombola communities’ demands in Sergipe. It adopts a qualitative approach, based on participatory action research (IAP). The data announce/denounce, among others: the emblematic situation of registration in the School Census; the closing of schools; the lack of expansion of the years and stages of Basic Education; non-implementation of DCNEEQ and lack of initial training. The scenario described reveals a long way to go to implement the DCNEEQ and several insurgencies with important results for the strengthening of schools in quilombola communities in Sergipe.
