A NON-PLACE SCHOOL FOR AFRO-DESCENDANTS CHILDREN FROM THE PERIPHERY OF PERIPHERIES
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article aims to discuss the daily life of a school located on the outskirts of the outskirts of a dormitory town in the metropolitan area of Porto Alegre (RS), frequented by children, almost entirely, were African descent. In the survey, ethnographic methodological procedures were used, as formulated by Green and Andrew. From a theoretical point of view, the study established, primarily, dialogue with Bauman, Milton Santos and Marc Augé. The research allowed to show that that school was constituted in a non-place school, and is marked by intense exclusionary processes, even if, from a legal point of view, there were Afro-descendant students and teachers "included" in the education system. So, was in progress, at that non-place school, a break between what the law provides for Brazilian students and what happened in the "ground school".
