Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present some of the possibilities of teaching and learning between the museum and the school Geography. Our activity was developed with students of the discipline Geography Education II, ministered in the second half of 2013, at the Education Institute of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ). The text is composed of some of the theoretical discussions in the classroom, the proposal museum cartography and of the issues addressed in the field - Africa and the african-Brazilian population at the Museum Afro Brazi
